Wine Women & Shoes kicked off its upcoming signature event with a preview luncheon at Fleming's at Grand Boulevard Jan. 17.
The event was a sell-out of 100 ladies who viewed samples of apparel from W by Worth and jewelry from Destin Jewelers, which will be modeled at the main event to be held Feb. 10.
The ladies also were able to taste Kesner Wines and meet this year's beneficiary, Sinfonia Gulf Coast and its Maestro Demetrius Fuller.
When the fun was done, WWS had raised more than $5,000.
"It was an awesome kickoff to the upcoming Wine Women and Shoes event in February," said event co-chair Demetria McNeese.
Next up will be five private in-home vintner dinners with each having its own private celebrity chef for the evening. These will take place Feb. 8. McNeese said these are not yet sold out.
On Feb. 9 will be a vintner tasting at Kwiker Liquor in Carillon Beach offering free home delivery on purchases of more than $100.
The WWS signature event is Feb. 10 from 2-5 p.m. at Magnolia Ballroom in Sandestin's Village of Baytowne Wharf with fashion, 40 different wines to taste, shoes, a silent auction, hors d'oeuvres, and shopping. Tickets are $65.
